In order to further our commitment to nondiscrimination, we are working to ensure our site conforms to level Double-A World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. The Court does not provide devices that are personal or individually prescribed, such as wheelchairs, prescription eyeglasses, and hearing aids, or services of a personal nature, such as the pushing of wheelchairs.
Questions/Disability Access & Accommodations Coordinators
Services to the Hearing Impaired and Others with Communication Disabilities:
Under Judicial Conference policy, the court must provide sign language interpreters or other auxiliary aids and services to participants in federal judicial proceedings who are deaf, hearing impaired, or have other communication disabilities and may provide these services to spectators when the court deems appropriate.
Accommodations for Individuals with Other Disabilities:
The federal courts are not subject to the Americans with Disabilities Act, however, if a person with a disability makes a request for a reasonable accommodation, the Court may consider the request.
Requests for sign language interpreters, other auxiliary aids and services, or other accommodations should be made by completing the online form and submitting it to the Court’s Accommodations Coordinator. Private Rooms for Lactation-Related Needs:
Private rooms are available, upon request, for nursing mothers in the Albany, Binghamton, Syracuse, and Utica courthouses. If you have business in the courthouse and need an accommodation, please complete the online form or mail the printable form in advance the Accommodations Coordinator.

The back entrance to the Utica Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. It is located on the Catherine St. side of the Utica Courthouse.
