Case information for both civil and criminal cases can be received over the phone toll-free by dialing (866) 222-8029. By following the prompts, you may obtain the latest information on a case, including:

  • Case name and number
  • Party information
  • Presiding judge(s)
  • Most recent filings
  • Pending motions, deadlines, and hearings
  • Judgments
  • Charges
  • Appeal status and date

What do I need to use McVCIS?

Only a touch-tone telephone is needed to access case information. An automated attendant will request and provide information step by step.

How much does McVCIS cost?

This service is provided free of charge.

When can I call?

McVCIS is available 24/7. However, on rare occasions, this service may be unavailable during technical maintenance.

How do I search for a case?

The automated attendant will prompt you for a case number or either defendant or plaintiff name.

To search by case number, enter it using 7-digit format. For example, for case number 5:25-cv-00123, enter "2500123".

To search by party name, you can enter this on your phone using the keypad on your telephone, per the image below. For example, for a user named "John Smith," the attendant will ask to provide the party last name. Enter "76484". Then the attendant will ask to provide the party first name. Enter "5646".
