The Local Rules Committee for the Northern District of New York is soliciting proposed amendments to the Local Rules of Practice.

If you wish to submit a proposed amendment to the Local Rules of Practice for consideration by the Rules Committee, you may do so via email at LocalRulesProposal@nynd.uscourts.gov.

Proposed amendments must be received no later than the close of business on Friday, April 3, 2026 to receive consideration. If the proposed amendment is adopted by the Rules Committee and the Northern District of New York Board of Judges, they will become effective January 1, 2027.
