NOTICE

  •    As part of its annual review, the Local Rules Committee has proposed the following modifications to the Local Rules of Practice for the

Northern District of New York. Please note that there are two sets of proposed changes. The first set are modifications that were the result of

suggestions from the bench, bar and public. Generally speaking these proposed changes seek to clarify or update the Local Rules of Practice to

conform to current procedures or policies.

Bench, Bar and Public Proposed Changes

  •     The second set of proposed modifications are necessary to bring the Local Rules of Practice in conformity with the December 1, 2009

changes to the Federal Rules of Practice regarding the conversion of all deadlines to calendar days. In essence, the anticipated changes to the

Federal Rules required the Local Rules Committee to examine every deadline within the Local Rules of Practice and determine if the deadline

  required modification.
